Welcome to Renaissance Tennis Institute.  My name is Tarik Benhabiles and I am the Director of Tennis Operations. Before deciding to take the challenge of heading the Institute, I traveled the world as a professional tennis player.  I became a member of the French Davis Cup team and reached #22 in the ATP ranking.  As a coach I have been blessed to work with and mentor Andy Roddick, Nicolas Escude, Ivo Karlovich, Richard Gasquet, Benjamin Becker, Gael Monfils and many other exceptional players.
 
Our website is under construction, but the work on the tennis courts has began and the first students are paving their way with hard work to become recognized names in tennis.  The facility features 20 courts, four of which are being surfaced with European red clay imported directly from Marseilles, France, and four with authentic Decoturf, the surface of the US Open and the 2008 Olympics.  In addition, there is a fitness center which facilitates unique training programs to keep the players in top physical and mental condition.  The swimming pool and hot tubs ensure that our students get the needed relaxation after a great day of training.
 
At RTI we are introducing something truly different from other academies.  We do not intend to create another tennis factory, instead instilling the most personal and attentive approach aimed at developing future tennis icons.  It is my goal to pass on every detail of knowledge I have about tennis to the elite selection of players that attend RTI.
